The second night of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour took place at SoFi Stadium on Thursday, and it was a family affair.
She pulled out her children Rumi and Blue Ivy as she sang her song "Protector." When Tina Knowles, Beyoncé's mother, joined them, the audience erupted.
In a touching and poignant moment, the three generations of Knowles women stood with pride to commemorate the success of Ms. Tina's memoir, "Matriarch."
Today is a significant day because, according to Beyoncé, her mother put a lot of effort into writing her book, which is currently the number one bestseller in the New York Times. "Mama T, congratulations."
In an Instagram post shortly after, the author enthused about the experience.
"You guys... I recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of mine by performing on stage with my infant and grandchild during "Protector." I will always remember this moment," she captioned the photo.
Mathew Knowles, Knowles's ex-husband, congratulated her on her achievement on social media earlier that day.
He wrote on X, "Mathew, congrats on your New York Times #1 bestseller, Tina."
"An Evening with Tina Knowles, Family & Friends" is the book tour that the former salon owner has gone on. Michelle Obama, the former First Lady, hosted the event in Washington, D.C., on April 30. On May 2, Keke Palmer will moderate the event at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
On April 22, "Matriarch: A Memoir By Tina Knowles" was published.
