Basketball season is upon Bronny James.

When the 19-year-old son of NBA great LeBron James made his debut at USC's annual HoopLA event, which marks the beginning of a new collegiate basketball season, all eyes were on him.

As each player was formally introduced, Bronny and his USC teammates greeted the crowd.

While wearing his red and yellow Trojans jersey and sweatpants, Bronny danced as he made his floor debut.

An Instagram video of Bronny's dance moves was captioned, "@bronny hit the dougie during his Trojan HoopLA intro," by USC.

Bronny wasn't the only big star at Thursday's USC gala.  Trojan supporters and athletes attended the kickoff celebration, where rapper Saweetie and DJ Zack Bia performed.

As his fellow USC classmates and new teammates cheered him on, Bronny was seen wearing his No. 6 jersey.

When LeBron, 38, played for the Miami Heat in 2010, he briefly wore the same jersey number. When he rejoined the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014, he switched back to wearing number 23.

LeBron posted snippets of Bronny's walkout and introduction on his Instagram account following the event.

Previously, in a May interview with Spectrum, the Lakers star described the day his kid committed to play basketball for USC as "one of the best days of my life,"

When he said, "I'm super proud of him, our family is proud of him," LeBron stated.  "It's much more significant to me personally because this is the first time a member of my family is attending college.  I obviously did not attend college.

"My son is the first member of my family to attend college, so it's a great occasion to watch him do so.  really emotional, really proud, and incredibly delighted for his adventure," he said in closing.

One of the most eagerly awaited collegiate basketball debuts this year is that of Bronny, a former Sierra Canyon great.

However, as he recovers from his July cardiac attack, Bronny's participation for the team's opening game on November 9 is still up in the air.  He then received a diagnosis of "an anatomically and functionally significant congenital heart defect."

"Bronny's doing very well, but we just can't comment on anything medically," USC basketball head coach Andy Enfield told ESPN after Bronny missed the team's first practice of the season on September 23.  We are quite happy for him because he is attending class and performing exceptionally well in school.

In July, while working out at the university, Bronny suffered a heart arrest and spent two days in the hospital before undergoing surgery to fix the problem.

Following the outpouring of fan support, LeBron posted a statement on social media. "I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has sent prayers and love to my family. I'm really appreciative, and we feel you," he wrote.

"Everyone is doing fantastic. We feel your love, and our family is united, safe, and well. I wanted to let everyone know how much your support has meant to us all, and I'll have more to say when we're ready! "#JamesGang."
