Demi Moore only has love for her ex-husband Bruce Willis.
As Moore, 62, spoke with Variety for an article published Thursday, Feb. 6 regarding her Academy Award nomination for The Substance, the actress touched on her relationship with Willis, 69, whom she divorced from in 2000 after some 13 years of marriage. Willis, who married wife Emma Heming Willis in 2009, retired from acting after he received an aphasia diagnosis in 2022; he was later diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023.
“We will always be a family, just in a different form,” Moore said of Willis, with whom she shares daughters Rumer, 36, Scout, 33 and Tallulah, 31. Willis also shares daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, with wife Emma. “For me, there was never a question. I show up because that’s what you do for the people you love," added Moore.
According to Variety, Moore visits Willis on a weekly basis and is a source of support for Emma, 46, as well as their daughters. “I hope it’s encouraging for others to see that there’s a different way to do things," Moore said of the friendship she maintained with Willis after divorce. "There is life after divorce. There is a way to co-parent with love.”
