Hollywood star Dennis Quaid, 70, has tied the knot for the fourth time, marrying 30-year-old PhD student Laura Savoie. Their significant 40-year age gap has sparked public interest, particularly as Savoie is the same age as Quaid’s son, Jack Quaid.

Quaid and Savoie first met at a business event in 2019, and the actor has been vocal about how quickly he fell for her. “I loved her at first sight,” he admitted in an interview. Their whirlwind romance led to an engagement later that year, and despite initial wedding delays due to the pandemic, they officially wed in a private ceremony in June 2020.

Savoie, who holds a master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and was pursuing a PhD in accounting at the University of Texas at Austin, has largely stayed out of the Hollywood limelight. However, Quaid has praised their deep connection, emphasizing that their relationship is built on mutual love and respect rather than age.

The actor, best known for films like The Parent Trap and The Day After Tomorrow, was previously married to actresses P.J. Soles, Meg Ryan, and real estate agent Kimberly Buffington.
