Jay-Z leaves NYC office a day after attending the Super Bowl with wife Beyonce and is heavily criticized for SITTING during the national anthem

Jay-Z was beaming back home in New York City, only a day after making headlines for staying seated during the Super Bowl's national anthem.

 On Monday, the 50-year-old rapper and music entrepreneur was seen exiting a midtown Manhattan office building in a cheerful mood.

 Bey and Jay were not standing during the Super Bowl anthem, but he was not spotted with his wife Beyonce on the way back to New York City.

The artist, whose real name was Shawn Carter, had on a dark blue puffer coat over a light blue sweatshirt.

 As he exited his midtown Manhattan office, he also wore white Puma sneakers with black sweatpants.

 When Jay-Z and Beyonce attended Super Bowl LIV, he was wearing the same hat and made headlines for standing throughout the playing of the national anthem.

 Jennifer Lopez and Shakira performed during the Super Bowl halftime show, which was produced by the founder of Tidal.

 Along with consulting with the league on the halftime show, Jay-Z and his Roc Nation firm aimed to "strengthen community through music and the NFL's Inspire Change initiative."

Following the NFL's treatment of Colin Kaepernick, whom Jay-Z had supported, the rapper recently defended his relationship with the organization.

 Jay-Z remarked, "No one is saying he hasn't been done wrong."  "It was done incorrectly."  If it had been three months ago, I could understand.

 Someone needs to ask, "What do we do now -because people are still dying?" because it was three years ago.

Fans went crazy when Jay-Z and Beyonce made an unexpected appearance at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles last month. 

 He even brought bottles of his 2014 purchase of Armand de Brignac Champagne, his new champagne.

 The artist hasn't put out a new album since 4:44 in 2017.
