LeBron James will pay for more than 1,000 kids to go to college

LeBron James, a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, is doing amazing things for his hometown of Akron, Ohio.

 At least 1,100 students, ranging in age from third to seventh grade, are enrolled in the NBA player's "I Promise" initiative, and the NBA star has committed to covering their college tuition.

 Students must finish the program and fulfill attendance and grade standards in order to be eligible for college tuition.

In 2021, when the present seventh graders are anticipated to graduate from high school, LeBron will start paying the tuition.
