This Saturday, celebrities descended upon New York City to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the 40/40 club with Jay Z.

The flagship sports bar opened in 2003 and was named after a phrase for top baseball players who have stolen 40 bases and hit 40 home runs in a single season. Since then, the popular Manhattan location has become a city dweller's go-to site for happy hour and has provided the setting for some of the largest entertainment industry events. Due to citywide restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 outbreak, the flagship location has reopened.

The 40/40 Club has grown since launching its initial bar, opening branches within Atlanta's Hartsfield–Jackson International Airport and Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The original facility is still going strong, although locations in Atlantic City and Las Vegas have since closed.
