​Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has confirmed the birth of his third child with musician Grimes, bringing his publicly acknowledged number of children to 11. The child, named Techno Mechanicus—nicknamed "Tau"—was born in mid-2022, though the news was kept private until it was revealed in Walter Isaacson’s biography of Musk in September 2023.

Musk has been vocal about his concerns regarding declining birth rates, stating, "Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis," and emphasizing that population collapse due to low birth rates is a significant threat to civilization .​
