Jay-Z shared a unique perspective on raising his three kids with wife Beyonce, claiming that lockdown has allowed his loved ones to "really connect."
The 99 Problems singer, who has a six-year-old daughter named Blue Ivy and twins named Sir and Rumi, both of whom he has with Beyonce, has "no idea" what his children want to accomplish with their lives, but the couple is committed to providing them with love and support no matter what.
"[Family] is your foundation," the 51-year-old rapper stated in an interview with the Sunday Times Style. You know, the most important thing a youngster needs is to feel loved.
Not "Here's this business that I'm going to hand over to you, that I'm creating for you." What happens if my child has no interest in participating in sports or music? I don't know, do I? But I believe that everything is achievable as long as your child feels loved and supported.

"The coronavirus pandemic gave the family an opportunity to'really connect' and feel closer to each other," the music icon stated.
Jay stated: "At first, it was time for everyone to get together, concentrate on family and spending time together, and use this time to get to know one another better."
As time went on, it became apparent that "OK, all right, what is the new normal?" … If this taught us anything, it's that we must acknowledge our interconnectedness. It serves as a metaphor for our interconnectedness.
The music mogul acknowledged that his kids have a lot of expectations, and that all he and Beyonce can do is provide them with a secure atmosphere and the freedom to be themselves.
When asked how the pair handles the reality that the children cannot have a normal upbringing because to their parents' heritage, he replied that they made sure to create a loving environment and pay attention to their children's goals.
