From Zero, Linkin Park's eighth studio album and their first since 2017's One More Light, has triumphantly returned to the top of the ARIA Albums Chart (via Warner Records and Machine Shop).
After the devastating loss of former frontman Chester Bennington in 2017, their new lineup—which includes Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, Emily Armstrong, and Colin Brittain—debuts in Australia, making their most recent milestone particularly painful.
Linkin Park's legendary ARIA legacy is further enhanced by From Zero, since all of their studio albums have placed in the top three. This latest chart-topper solidifies their status as one of the most successful rock artists in ARIA history, joining the ranks of Hybrid Theory (2000), Minutes to Midnight (2007), and A Thousand Suns (2010).
Another notable performance on the charts was that of Australian rapper Illy, whose song "Good Life" peaked at No. 4. Following the success of Cinematic (No. 4 in 2013), Two Degrees (No. 1 in 2016), and The Space Between (No. 1 in 2021), Good Life, his seventh studio album, makes his fourth appearance in the Top 10.
Shawn Mendes' fifth studio album, Shawn, made its debut at No. 24 on the global charts. The Canadian hitmaker is still a major player on the ARIA charts, having previously topped the charts with Shawn Mendes in 2018 and peaked at number two with Wonder in 2020.
U.K. hip-hop legend MF Doom makes his first-ever appearance on the ARIA Albums Chart in a posthumous triumph. The fact that the late legend's music is still popular with both new and old fans is demonstrated by the 20th anniversary version of his iconic MM. Food, which debuts at No. 29.
With her song "That's So True," Gracie Abrams is dominating the radio and has maintained her position at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart for a second week.
She joins a group of strong female musicians who have dominated the number one place this year, including Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish. In 2024, female artists held the number one spot for 25 weeks, including an uninterrupted 16-week streak.
