 Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Beyoncé, 31, and her husband, Jay-Z, 43, celebrated the birth of their little princess with a lavish celebration.

 According to The Sun, America's golden pair reportedly spent $80,000, or roughly £50,000, on a Barbie doll covered in diamonds for their baby girl Blue Ivy's first birthday.

It is reported that the doll, which has been specially customized, has 160 diamond stones and white gold jewelry.

 The extremely wealthy artists also planned an extravagant princess-themed birthday celebration in New York, complete with a £1,500 cake and £60,000 worth of pink and white roses.

 Additionally, the group of toddlers who were fortunate enough to be part of Blue Ivy's social circle were treated to £20,000 worth of toys and accessories, such as playhouses, princess costumes, and jewelry sets.

 In the meantime, their affluent parents received coveted concert tickets, opulent goodie bags, and personalized gold pens with Blue Ivy's name inscribed on them.

The world's highest paid celebrity couple, the Crazy In Love singer and her rap artist husband, amassed a combined fortune of almost $78 million (£48 million) in just 12 months last year.

 Last Monday was their daughter's first birthday, and the pair reportedly spent weeks organizing the festivities.

 Nothing has been too huge or costly for their little princess, according to a person close to the couple.  They wished for her first birthday to be a turning point in her life.
