Giannis Antetokounmpo brands Victor Wembanyama an 'unbelievable talent' as he gushes over Spurs rookie after epic battle: 'I've never seen anything like him'

Giannis Antetokounmpo gave Victor Wembanyama another endorsement for his extortionary potential after the two engaged in an exciting duel on Thursday night.

 Giannis described Wembanyama as "an unbelievable talent" following the Bucks' thrilling 125-121 victory over the Spurs in San Antonio.  "[He] can score whenever he wants."  plays to win and in the proper manner.  Playing against him was enjoyable.

Because of his versatility, Wembanyama has long been regarded as this generation's top basketball prospect.

 The 7-foot-4 Frenchman's spectacular behind-the-back play in the third quarter, which made Damian Lillard look foolish, demonstrated that he has the handles to move like a guard.

 Giannis won the game by scoring 44 points more than Wembanyama. 

 The matchup left NBA fans in awe as the two players exchanged incredible three-pointers and displays of individual skill.

 After making a three-pointer to tie the score at 118 with three minutes left, Antetokounmpo drew a charge on Wembanyama. Thirty-four seconds later, he made his second of the game to put the Bucks ahead 121-118.

With 53 seconds remaining, Wembanyama tied the score by thwarting Lillard's layup and attempting a three-pointer of his own. 

 Then, to set up a possible tying shot, he blocked a dunk attempt by Giannis. However, he missed a contested three-pointer and passed the ball to Tre Jones, who missed from the right corner.

 The Spurs have the second-worst NBA record at 5-29 overall, behind the six-win Wizards, despite Wembanyama's impressive performance for the Greek Freak.

With a 3-31 record, the only team with a worse record is the Detroit Pistons, who recently set the NBA record for the most consecutive losses. 

 Wembanyama only played 26 minutes on Thursday night, compared to Antetokounmpo's 40, demonstrating that he is still a rookie.

 Milwaukee is currently two games behind Boston in second place in the Eastern Conference, while San Antonio's prospects of qualifying for the playoffs are already diminishing.
